The Cab The luxury, wide and spacious cab comes standard with air conditioning and an air suspension seat. The windscreen glass runs from the floor to the roof and is curved back to give exceptional visibility especially when working at full height. The low slung boom and large rear view mirrors allow for excellent forward and rear visibility enabling safe and accurate operation. Many controls are operated from the multi-function joystick. This gives faster and safer control as most operations can be carried out with one hand on the steering wheel and the other on the joystick. The steering column can be tilted and seat arranged in various positions to suit all operators. In cab entertainment is a high quality combination CD and radio unit that can be fully appreciated in the 74dB(A) quiet cab

Traction Performance Power source for the TH300 is the new series, Perkins 106hp green emissions engine. The TH300 utilises a large diameter torque converter, which linked through a power shift 4F/4R-transmission enables huge pushing power. To transmit the power to the ground, wide 600/55R22.5 tyres are used. If a job gets tough a joystick mounted kick-down facility is available which automatically drops down one gear and then returns to the original set gear when neutral or change of direction is selected. The permanent four-wheel drive and inclusion of limited slip differentials on both axles guarantees higher tractive capacity, even in the stickiest conditions. |
Hydraulics The heart of the hydraulic system is a high capacity variable displacement pump. Unlike fixed displacement pumps the variable displacement pump only works on demand. This keeps oil temperatures low and power efficiency high. A large hydraulic oil reservoir means oil circulation times are reduced which also helps keep oil temperature well under control. Hydraulic controls are oil over oil, which as well as being the most reliable system, also gives variable control on lift and crowd operations. Most importantly it gives the operator "feel" and "feedback" through the joystick for the operations being carried out. There is an additional double acting hydraulic service as standard at the front of the TH series and the supply to the locking pins can also be isolated to give a second auxiliary control, which can be operated from the joystick. If required one auxiliary service can be utilised to operate a hydraulic pick up hitch.
